Multichannel installation for obsolète and recycled sound diffusors
30’ loop
This installation is inspired by the François Bayle’s acousmonium: a wide range of speakers intended to compete with the massive sound of the classical orchestre. This installation combines the will to compose a sound diffusion apparatus while critically addressing the technological and financial needs to do so. Using obsolete and recycle devices, forgotten and unwanted byproducts of our industrial societies, old radios, transducers, 1990s hifi system come together as a « cheap acousmonium » that addresses the challenge of limited ressources with the need of innovation.
